Often called the most beautiful snake in the United States, the San Francisco garter snake (a subspecies of the common garter snake), has been endangered since 1967 due to the development and filling of wetlands in some areas of San Mateo. But in some places they are actually common, and it is possible to catch a glimpse of these shy creatures sunning themselves, or perhaps admiring their reflection in the water, if care is taken not to startle them.

All my works are hand drawn colored pencil illustrations. They are Giclee printed on 100% cotton fibre, 290 gsm acid-free, conservation grade, Italian-milled fine art paper.

All art illustrated by Rachel Diaz-Bastin. Available in 3 sizes. Each fits standard sized mats and frames.

All prints signed by the artist.
