Hand drawn colored pencil illustration.
Giclee printed on 100% cotton fibre, 290 gsm acid-free, conservation grade, Italian-milled fine art paper.
I can't resist a motmot, or a tropical torch ginger — so I combined the two. Turquoise-browed motmots go by a variety of wonderful names. In El Salvador and Nicaragua, where they are the national bird, they are called Torogoz and guardabarranco (ravine guard), respectively. In the Yucatan they are called pajaro reloj (clock bird), due to their habit of wagging their long tail like a pendulum. But perhaps the most delightful name comes from Costa Rica, where they are sometimes known as pajaro bobo — "foolish bird" — because they tend to let humans come very close without flying away.
Available in 3 sizes. Each fits standard sized mats and frames.
All prints signed by the artist.
